Scottish Bike Trial run all observed trials in Scotland.
We are affiliated to Biketrial Federation UK, the governing body for trials in the UK and recognised by British Cycling in relation to international UCI Trials events.
Scottish Bike Trial are delighted to be part of Scottish Cycling’s Club Progression Programme. We are really looking forward to working with Scottish Cycling and other clubs on the programme. We will be aiming to fine tune our own governance, but also promote awareness of the benefits that arise from trials across the Scottish Cycling network through collaboration. This in turn will hopefully result in increased participation across both genders.

In the UK we run the majority of our events to a mix of Biketrial International Union and UCI rules. We do have both a BIU Championship and a UCI Championship where all categories ride to the specific rules for that governing body. All other trials in the UK however tend to run to BIU rules up to Intermediate, with Expert and Elite categories running to UCI rules.
The rules focus on observed trials, Street or TGS don’t have to worry about a rule book to the same extent.
